February 28, 2017 — Insufficient supply levels led to a lull in contract activity in the Midwest and West, which dragged down pending home sales in January to their lowest level in a year, according to the National Association of Realtors®.

February 22, 2017 — Existing-home sales stepped out to a fast start in 2017, surpassing a recent cyclical high and increasing in January to the fastest pace in almost a decade, according to the National Association of Realtors®. All major regions except for the Midwest saw sales gains last month.

February 17, 2017 – Forecast: Existing-home sales will expand 1.7 percent in 2017 – but a new housing affordability model created jointly by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and realtor.com predicts an inadequate number of listings on the market at many income levels.
February 14, 2017 – Flagler County is hosting a public meeting on February 15 to present the conceptual plan for a public park on Bay Drive in the Hammock that is decades in the making.
February 12, 2017 – The site of the former Sheraton Hotel and marina at the intersection of Palm Coast’s main canal and the Intracoastal Waterway has been purchased from Centex by Atlanta-based Jacoby Development Group. Additional Centex-owned land, bounded by the City of Palm Coast’s Palm Harbor Golf Course, is also part of the deal.
February 9, 2017 — The best quarterly sales pace of the year pushed available housing supply to record lows and caused price appreciation to slightly speed up in the final three months of 2016, according to the latest quarterly report by the National Association of Realtors®. The report also revealed that sales prices in over half of measured markets since 2005 are now at or above their previous peak level.

February 6, 2017 – In Florida, 22 percent of home buyers were first-timers, though the percentage was notably higher nationwide at 35 percent. And the average Florida homebuyer was also older: 55 years old compared to 44 years old nationally, and they had a median income of $83,900.
