Snow a Factor in Illinois Pharmaceutical Company’s Move to Flagler County

Flagler’s business climate, labor force and tax rate also factored in Beutlich Pharmaceuticals decision. The company plans to be up and running in January.

Palm Coast, FL – October 16, 2014 – Beutlich Pharmaceuticals, LLC has purchased a 20,000 square foot office and warehouse facility on U.S. 1 in Bunnell and is relocating from the Midwest to Flagler County.“We are real excited about getting down here where we won’t have to deal with the snow,” said Jack Beutlich, one of the company’s owners. Beutlich already owns a home in Palm Coast.

The company is relocating from Waukegan, Illinois to Flagler County and plans to be up and running in January 2015. “This is the perfect time to us to relocate,” Beutlich CEO Erlene Thomas said. “The move will be carried out in a manner that ensures our operations will not be interrupted and our loyal customers will not be affected.”

Beutlich Pharmaceuticals has been offering healthcare professionals unique solutions for pain management and preventative care since 1954. They focus on the development and commercialization of innovative OTC solutions for pain management and patient care.  The company introduced HurriCaine topical anesthetics into dentistry more than 40 years ago. It was the first of its kind then and remains a sought after product in the market place.

“This is one of Flagler County Economic Development Opportunity Advisory Council’s target industries,” Flagler County Economic Development Chair Barbara Revels said. “Having a successful, well established company invest in our community and create 25 to 30 jobs will have a positive effect on our economy, employment and the business community.” About half of the new jobs will be  available immediately.

The new building in Bunnell will offer more opportunities for the growing product lines that Beutlich offers and has created over the years. It will also allow them to take advantage of Flagler’s strong talent pool and cost-effective environment.  The company is looking to fill positions in facility management, regulatory compliance, accounts receivable, marketing, shipping and production, to name a few.

“We’re looking forward to working with Beutlich Pharmaceuticals to provide a qualified talent pool for their company,” Robin King, President of Career Source Flagler Volusia.  “With Designs for Heath already established, Flagler County is creating a niche for the health/sciences industry in the region.”
