City of Palm Coast Sets Oct. 29 Groundbreaking for Palm Coast City Hall, Phase I

Construction of the first phase of Palm Coast City Hall will begin in early November and take approximately 12 months to complete.

Palm Coast City Hall phase IPalm Coast, FL – October 21, 2014 – The City of Palm Coast will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I construction of Palm Coast City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the site on Lake Avenue, north of the lake at Central Park in Town Center. The public is encouraged to attend.

Construction of the first phase of Palm Coast City Hall will begin in early November and take approximately 12 months to complete. The first phase will be a $6.9 million, 33,420-square-foot office building and parking area shown in the first rendering. The project will also include furnishings, fixtures and equipment. The underground work for the future phases will be completed at this time, as well, at an additional cost of $500,000 for Phase I.

Palm Coast City Hall - phases I and IIFuture phases include an 8,000-square-foot addition for community meeting rooms including City Council Chambers, a lakefront plaza and more parking. The second rendering includes the phase II City Council Chambers.

The City Hall project was designed by the architectural planning and design firm of C.T. Hsu + Associates. The construction manager is Gilbane Building Company.

The groundbreaking event will include remarks by Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts. Light refreshments will be served.
