Ginn Company’s Tesoro Development in Port St. Lucie Hosts Live Bald Eagle Webcam

Tesoro was redesigned to accommodate a pair of protected bald eagles. Now, anyone with an internet connection can enjoy the result.

January 28, 2008 – Palm Coast, FL – Bobby Ginn’s Tesoro development in Port St. Lucie, had to be redesigned because a pair of protected bald eagles had a nest on the property. The eagles faced challenges too. One year, a hurricane destroyed their nest. Another year, eggs did not hatch. But this year, at least two hatchlings were recently spotted by an Audubon of Florida Eagle Watch Coordinator. And you can keep an eye on them too via a Webcam.

The Ginn Company teamed up with the Audubon of Florida to install a Webcam that gives everyone an opportunity to watch the nest. Ginn spokesperson, Ryan Julison, is quoted in an article in TCPalm saying “Developers oftentimes move into an area and disrupt what’s going on. But here, we’ve found a situation where the developer and the environment can co-habitate in a positive way and an educational way.”
