October 16, 2014 – Beutlich Pharmaceuticals, LLC has purchased a 20,000 square foot office and warehouse facility on U.S. 1 in Bunnell and is relocating from the Midwest to Flagler County.“We are real excited about getting down here where we won’t have to deal with the snow,” said Jack Beutlich, one of the company’s owners. Beutlich already owns a home in Palm Coast.
October 16, 2014 – The weekend of October 11 and 12 brought thousands of guests to the 10th Annual Creekside Festival at Princess Place Preserve in Flagler County. Over the course of the festival, the Flagler County Chamber, Flagler Home Builders Association and Flagler County Association of Realtors hosted a Flagler Votes booth to share election information and conduct an informal straw poll for the general election. Guests attending the Flagler Votes Forum Tuesday, October 14 were also given the opportunity to participate in the straw poll.
October 16, 2014 — After four consecutive monthly gains, U.S. builder confidence in the market for newly built single-family homes fell five points to a level of 54 on the National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI), released today.
October 14, 2014 – The Matanzas Golf Course in Palm Coast, FL has new owners. The Golf Group of Palm Coast LLC, in Palm Coast, sold the closed golf course to The Group Golf of Palm Cost LLC (really, not a typo), of Jacksonville for $266,750. The sale closed October 3rd.
October 10, 2014 – Home prices in some areas of the country have recovered to pre-recession levels. The medial home selling price in metro Palm Coast, which includes all of Flagler County, remains nearly 40 percent below peak prices of eight years ago.

October 8, 2014 – Citing an economy that has turned around but not quite yet robust, the Flagler County Commission extended its moratorium on County Impact Fees for another year.
October 6, 2014 – Fewer than 50 Flagler County properties are scheduled to be sold at foreclosure auctions in October, a drop from previous month’s volume. The list includes homes, condominiums and vacant residential, commercial lots and a restaurant. Most of the listed foreclosures were initiated in 2012 or later.
October 3, 2014 – You can’t make this stuff up. Keystone Homes, one of Palm Coast’s most reputable builders, recently completed a million dollar home in Ocean Hammock, one of the area’s most prestigious communities. The 5,306 square foot home offers views of the Atlantic Ocean. It sports five bedrooms, five and one half baths, a theater room, a game room and pool. Unfortunately, it was built on the wrong lot and nobody noticed until months after completion.
October 1, 2014 – Last year, thousands tracked the lives of Romeo and Juliet, NE Florida’s best known American Bald Eagle pair, as they hatched and raised two offspring. Romeo came back to the NEFL nest on August 28. Juliet stayed longer than expected, but came back safe and sound on September 14. This season's reality show has begun!
September 29, 2014 – Pending home sales slowed modestly in August but contract signings remain at their second-highest level over the past year, according to the National Association of Realtors®. All major regions experienced declines except for the West, which rose for the fourth consecutive month.
September 29, 2014 – History repeats itself. Torrential rains hit both the Daytona Beach area and Palm Coast last week. Palm Coast received over ten inches of rain Friday and Saturday. The Daytona area suffered Wednesday, when nearly eight inches of rain fell in 24-hours. While several Daytona structures received major damage, Palm Coast’s damage was limited to only 15 structures. Water infiltrated into the living areas of only a few homes.
September 25, 2014 – All good things are worth waiting for. The development order has been approved for a Chick fil A at the former Perkins Family Restaurant location on the northwest corner of Palm Coast Pkwy NW and Boulder Rock Drive. The developer’s next steps are to submit for a permit to demolish the existing building and apply for a building permit for the new 4,390 square foot structure.
September 24, 2014 – The Commerce Department announced today that sales of new single-family houses in August 2014 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 504,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 18.0% (±16.3%) above the revised July rate of 427,000 and is 33.0% (±21.7%) above the August 2013 estimate of 379,000.
