October 31, 2014 – GoToby.com’s featured house of the week at 36 Osprey Circle is a standout, even for Grand Haven. October 31, 2014 – The Flagler County Planning & Development Board Wednesday night voted unanimously to forward a proposed short-term vacation rental ordinance to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) with a recommendation that the BOCC pass the ordinance as written. Several blue-shirted Hammock residents were in attendance to support approval. They left happy, but the meeting was a sham and the ordinance, as written, is a ticking time bomb.
October 29, 2014 – The September National Foreclosure Report released today by CoreData shows 46,000 foreclosures were completed in September 2014, a 32.6 percent year-over-year decline from 68,000* in September 2013. By comparison, before the decline in the housing market in 2007, completed foreclosures averaged 21,000 per month nationwide between 2000 and 2006. On a month-over-month basis, completed foreclosures were up by 4.7 percent. Completed foreclosures are an indication of the total number of homes actually lost to foreclosure.
October 28, 2014 – In an unexpected move, Flagler County scheduled a Special Meeting of its Planning & Development Board to convene at 6:00 P.M., October 29th. The sole purpose of the meeting is to consider a staff-recommended draft ordinance to govern short-term vacation rentals in the county. That ordinance is deeply flawed.
October 27, 2014 – Pending home sales rose slightly in September and are now above year-over-year levels for the first time in 11 months, according to the National Association of Realtors®.

October 27, 2014 – The City of Palm Coast will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Long Creek Nature Preserve at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3. The public is encouraged to attend.
October 25, 2014 – Florida’s 4th District Court of Appeals recently struck down the contract between the city of Hollywood and American Traffic Solutions, the Arizona Company to which the city outsourced its red light camera services. American Traffic Solutions provides red light camera services to most of the Florida cities with red light camera ordinances, including Palm Coast.
October 24, 2014 – GoToby.com’s featured house of the week at 2 Cherrytree Court is a 2,693 square foot salt water canal pool home on a tip lot. Palm Coast’s extensive system of 23 miles of salt water canals offers access to the Intracoastal Waterway. The motivated seller offers a $10,000 bonus to the selling agent that procures an accepted offer by October 31, 2014, payable upon closing.
October 23, 2014 – The Perkins Restaurant to Chick fil A transition seems to be taking forever but another milestone has been met. Palm Coast yesterday issued a demolition permit to WH Bass Inc, of Duluth, Ga., to demolish the 5,259 square foot building on the northwest corner of Palm Coast Pkwy and Boulder Rock Dr. The building was built in 1997 and housed a Perkins Restaurant until May 2013, when it was abruptly closed.
October 22, 2014 – The Florida National Guard has arrived at Flagler County’s Airport. They are leasing the CAPT facility from the Flagler County Airport for $15,185 a year.
October 15, 2014 – Flagler County Planning and Development Board fumbles Hammock Beach Club PUD application.
October 21, 2014 – The City of Palm Coast will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I construction of Palm Coast City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the site on Lake Avenue, north of the lake at Central Park in Town Center. The public is encouraged to attend.

It needed, and got, a complete makeover.
October 16, 2014 – Beutlich Pharmaceuticals, LLC has purchased a 20,000 square foot office and warehouse facility on U.S. 1 in Bunnell and is relocating from the Midwest to Flagler County.“We are real excited about getting down here where we won’t have to deal with the snow,” said Jack Beutlich, one of the company’s owners. Beutlich already owns a home in Palm Coast.
October 16, 2014 – The weekend of October 11 and 12 brought thousands of guests to the 10th Annual Creekside Festival at Princess Place Preserve in Flagler County. Over the course of the festival, the Flagler County Chamber, Flagler Home Builders Association and Flagler County Association of Realtors hosted a Flagler Votes booth to share election information and conduct an informal straw poll for the general election. Guests attending the Flagler Votes Forum Tuesday, October 14 were also given the opportunity to participate in the straw poll.
