Darden Restaurants Offers Two for One: Olive Garden & Red Lobster Under One Roof
New format puts both restaurants in the same building with shared bar and kitchen
Palm Coast, FL – November 24, 2009 – It looks like Darden Restaurants will be bringing both its Red Lobster and Olive Garden brands to Palm Coast’s Town Center. Rumor has it that they will be using a new format that puts two restaurants in one building with a shared bar and a shared kitchen. Darden is in the due diligence process. If the plan is finalized, look for a public announcement sometime around the first of the year.
Darden is headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Through subsidiaries, the company owns or operates over 1,700 restaurants including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze, Longhorn Steakhouse, The Capital Grill, and Seasons 52.

When will we get Costco
I think its terrific we will be getting more business into Town Center. One question, what is our town doing to bring a company like Costco to Town Center. They are a well respected company, have a reputation of being a good employer, would bring jobs to Palm Coast which we desperately need, and the big box store would work with our demographics.

Sonic Drive- In Restaurant

NUMBER?!?!?
does anyone know when they are taking applications?!? and the number to reach them at? please and thank you.
Darden goof
I know I am late with this, but I dont understand the logic of combining the restuarats. St. Aug Red Lob and Daytona Olive Gdn are both always full. why did they limit their potential for full sized restaurants???? I do not see this as a wise decision. we need more good places to dine, and I doubt too many will be willing to fight the crowds here. Glad they are here, but lets wait and see.

According to commercial realtors with whom I’ve spoken, Costco needs nearly twice the population we offer. I think a more likely spot for Costco would be Ormand, but I know of no plans.

As of July 13, no building permit has been issued but the city planning department expects construction to commence sometime this summer.
