Flagler County Government Services Building nears completion.

Government Services Building and new Justice Center will anchor 78 acre Complex.

September 30, 2006 – The new Flagler County Government Services building is set to open soon. Carl Laundrie, county communications manager says the Government Services Building is on track for a December move-in. The Justice Center is expected to open in August 2007. The two buildings form the centerpiece of a 78 acre Government Center, funded, in part, by two bond sales totaling $5M. The center is located on the south side of SR100, east of downtown Bunnell. Also planned for the center are several public works buildings, a fuel farm, a helicopter pad, a garage for emergency services vehicles and a home for the public works director. Laundrie says that Flagler County will have 200,000 residents by the time the buildings are paid for in 2035.
