Possible Casino in Bunnell, Florida?

Two parcels totaling about 100 acres are owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida

December 4, 2007 – Palm Coast, FL – An interesting item showed up this morning on PalmCoast.biz’s Flagler Grapevine. The blogger noted that two parcels of land on the east side of US1 just south of Bunnell totalling about 100 acres are owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida (S T O F). He conjectured that this might be a future site for a casino, especially given Governor Crist’s new friendship with the Seminole Tribe and its resulting increase in gambling revenue to the state.

I spoke with a commercial broker who was working on a deal for land near the tribe owned property. As part of the due diligence process several months ago, he looked into the casino story. Apparently the land is owned by the tribe but is not part of their sovereign nation. It was the broker’s opinion that only sovereign land would qualify for a casino. The listed owner is S T O F Holdings Ltd.
