Real Estate News Website GoToby.com Rolls Out Redesigned Format
After seven years, thousands of articles and newsletters and millions of page views, it was time to revamp the website.
Palm Coast, FL – December 24, 2013 – After seven years without a major revision, Palm Coast-based GoToby.com has rolled out a new look to its real estate news website. The “old” content will continue to be available under the new look.
This Christmas Eve day is an appropriate time to introduce the website changes and to thank the hundreds of loyal readers and advertisers who have made GoToby.com possible.
GoToby.com was launched in 2006 with very little fanfare. The original article was hardly noticed (except by my family), but the timing was perfect. Real estate was entering its “wild west” period. Flagler was the country’s fastest growing county and Palm Coast its fastest growing city. Bobby Ginn was on a roll, both locally and around the hemisphere. Both Palm Coast and Ginn were emblematic of the real estate bubble’s expansion and its implosion.
GoToby.com chronicled the rise and fall of both the local market and Bobby Ginn’s Ginndom. Love him or not, Bobby had a far-reaching effect on Palm Coast. His Ginndom once spread from Florida to Vermont, from Colorado to the Bahamas, but Palm Coast was its epicenter. Palm Coast’s Hammock Beach Resort continues today as Bobby’s most successful endeavor. Ginn is gone but his legacy remains; a gift that keeps on giving, both good and not so good. [See Action Alert: Ginn's Proposed Settlement Could be a Trojan Horse] Meanwhile, Palm Coast is recovering nicely.
Inquiring minds need to know. And GoToby.com apparently helped fill a void at a time when real estate was on everybody’s lips but knowledge and facts were scarce. People tell me that GoToby.com made a difference. It helped them make more informed decisions and/or saved them money.
In a typical month, GoToby.com is read in all 50 states and about 60 different countries. Over 40% of the website’s readers are from outside Florida. It’s coverage has resulted in my being quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post (Sunday front page lead article), Denver Post, Links Magazine, Golf Digest, Bahamas Press, Winston-Salem Journal, Philadelphia Magazine, 5280 Magazine, Naples News, Business North Carolina, Caledonian Record, Bahamas Weekly and Austrian Investor.
If GoToby.com helped you, I’d like to hear. Please leave a comment or email me at Toby@GoToby.com. Thank you, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. I hope you enjoy the new website format.
