Posted as a rumor months ago, this story is gathering momentum.
October 18, 2007 – Palm Coast, FL – I’ve heard some more details regarding a possible second Target Store for Palm Coast and Flagler County. It’s still a rumor, but I understand that Target is seriously looking at the southeast corner of Matanzas Woods Parkway and US1 for an additional store. The store would be the regular Target Store format, not the SuperTarget format opening in March on SR100. SuperTargets have a grocery department.
The next Publix is slated for the northwest corner of SR100 at Roberts Road, where site development has already commenced. I’ve been told that a subsequent Publix will be built on the northeast corner of Matanzas Woods Parkway and US1. Both this location and the rumored Target location are within the Palm Coast Park DRI (Development of Regional Impact). Palm Coast Park spans both sides of US1 from near Palm Coast Parkway north to Old Kings Road.
Yeah
It’s about time retailers see the buying population located in Palm Coast. I say more power to them. We’re tired of driving all over from Volusia to St John’s County for our products and services. It’s just taking these corporations forever to see there is money to be had in our area.
New Publix
There must be more than Publix going in on Rte 100. The clearing is enormous. Any news of other stores going in there?
